Conventional screen printing is done with plastosol inks. This technique in printing comprizes of 95% of the work on the marketplace today. This is considered the "norm" in the printing world. The Galaxy staff have mastered all the techniques of printing with plastosol inks from high-density to puff to glitters, and everything in between.

Water based inks:

Part of our environmental innitiative, water-based inks are PVC and Thalate-free. Water-based inks are breathable and have no "hand" to them. This means that the print is undectable to the touch because the colour is absorbed into the fabric as opposed to sitting on the surface. Printing done with water-based inks is more durable than the conventional plastosol method of printing because it launders better as it won't crack, fade or chip over time like the plastosol will. One draw-back to using water-based inks is that it can only be used on light colors as the inks are not opaque. This brings us to our next product option.

Rehance:

Also part of our environmental innitiative, REHANCE printing also uses water-based inks which are PVC and Thalate-free. REHANCE was initially developed to enable printers to use water-based inks on darker coloured fabrics. REHANCE printing is the latest and most innovative technique in printing today. It is a dye resist, dye enhance process which can be used along with water-based inks to create the desired effects. With REHANCE the print is engineered into the fabric so that it is undetecable to the touch. In effect the print becomes part of the garment.
